The News Angler project has started
The project is a collaboration between the University of Bergen (UiB) and Wolftech Broadcast Solutions AS. Participating from UiB is a cross-disciplinary group from the Department of information science and media studies, consisting of professors Andreas L. Opdahl (project leader), Lars Nyre, Bjørnar Tessem and Csaba Veres. Opdahl, Tessem og Veres all belong to the department’s group for Semantic and Social Information Systems (SSIS), whereas Nyre is a media researcher and leader of TekLab. From 2018, the project will also fund a Post-Doc and a Ph.D. candidate. Responsible for the project on Wolftech’s side is CEO Arne Berven. The project is also advised by an international panel of leading researchers, including professor Neil Maiden of City University, London.
